Meet Our Dentists Roswell, GA

Dr. Matthew Allen was born in Santa Clara, California, but he considers himself a Georgia native after living here most of his life. Dr. Allen received his bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia (“Go Dawgs”) as well as a focus on biological sciences from Kennesaw State University. While he enjoyed and was quite successful in the field of landscape architecture, Dr. Allen returned to California in 2006 when he realized his true passion is for dentistry. He studied dentistry at the University of Southern California and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2010, at which point he joined the family practice with his dad, Dr. Ferrill. He has been practicing dentistry at Roswell Family Dentistry ever since. Dr. Allen is dedicated to finding new technology and continuing education to meet his patient’s ever changing needs by attending the Hinman Dental Convention annually. Dr. Allen is adept in all types of dentistry, including dentures, partials, tooth extractions, root canals, implants and cosmetic restorations. His patients will receive complete dental care with confidence.

In his free time Dr. Allen loves being outdoors and exploring different hiking trails with his three dogs. He grew up deep sea fishing up and down both the West and East Coast and will still jump on any chance he gets to be out on the water.

Dr. Allen and Dr. Ferrill share a love of music and playing guitars. Dr. Ferrill wrote and produced his own album in 2010 with guest appearances from Dr. Allen as well as many other family members, friends and lifetime patients.

Founder & Owner
Dr. Ferrill, founder of Roswell Family Dentistry, studied dentistry at Emory University. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1978, graduating third in his class. He completed his residency at the VA Hospital in Palo Alto, California, where he met his wife of 43 years, Leslie. Dr. Ferrill chose California to do his residency because it is home to one of his favorite places in the whole world, Yosemite National Park. He has visited Yosemite and hiked its trails more times than he could count. He has even climbed to the very top of Half Dome twice! Dr. Ferrill is committed to continuing education and keeps current on the latest dental methods and technologies to suit every patient’s needs. Dr. Ferrill excels in all types of dentistry including dentures, partials, children’s dentistry, pedodontics, oral surgery, root canals, endodontics, crowns and bridges, gum disease, periodontics, implants, bleaching and cosmetic dentistry. He is able to complete most all of your dental needs in one easy location.

Dr. Ferrill was hiking before hiking was cool. During lunch breaks, after work and on weekends, you can find him trekking one of Georgia’s State or National trails. Dr. Ferrill’s love of hiking and studying dinosaurs has guided him to explore all around the U.S. and the world.

Above all, Dr. Ferrill loves spending time with his family, his wife, two kids and two grandkids that are the light in his eye.
